In a world where many of the prices on wines we know and love continue to spiral out of control, there is one producer that seems to stand alone in its defiance of soaring prices, while also not sacrificing quality. Produttori del Barbaresco has become a collector’s beacon of value, thanks to the skilled hands of winemaker Aldo Vacca, whose painstaking efforts include working with over 50 growers. It’s no wonder that this famed winery today is crafting some of its best wines ever.

Beginning in 1958, Produttori del Barbaresco became a place where 19 small growers were able to work together and produce wines. Fast forward to today: there are now 51 members, and the Produttori is flying at an all-time high. While much has been written about the Riservas, which is absolutely well-deserved, their DOCG Barbaresco is the uncanny king of collector’s value in Piedmont. We’re coming to market very early with the 2019 vintage, in anticipation of what is looking to be another exciting chapter for this historic winery. While none of the critics have rated this wine so far, Antonio Galloni has had exciting praise for the region’s 2019s.
